This is why I'm not a WINS member. I do not endorse Hickenlooper for Governor. I endorse Dan Maes. I don't want my money going to the liberals.

As a state employee I think it is very important for state leadership to put out what exactly employees can do or say in support of a public election. I do not support Wins. Personally, I hope for it's impending failure. We need to get policy published about protocol inregards to elections. I hope that I hear a knucklhead from Wins spewing their garbage during work hours. I will push for disciplinary actions.

Here is the reason the union is raising rates, to keep Dems in office (from thehill.com):

Unions to spend $100M in 2010 campaign to save Dem majorities

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) plans to spend $44 million in total on its 2010 election program. The union spent $85 million on its 2008 campaign, according to union officials.

SEIU has a list of 15 top-priority House districts across the country that it plans to campaign in to protect members who voted for the healthcare reform bill. Among those who will see support from the national union are Reps. John Boccieri (D-Ohio), Bill Foster (D-Ill.), Betsy Markey (D-Colo.), Tom Perriello (D-Va.), Gary Peters (D-Mich.) and Dina Titus (D-Nev.).

Let's push for it! We can then be the other voice. I bet with the facts of where dues money goes and the truth of how little support there really is we can knock them out!

Lou,

Your not alone! I had a rep at my house a 6 on a Saturday. He was totally blown away by my indignation??? He could not understand why I did not want to have a "civil" discussion. I reminded him he came to my house! For every claim he had I had the facts for which he could not respond. They hit 2 other guys in my office as well. One gal showed up in a short skirt, high heels and walked right out into my co-worker's yard to pester him. His wife was a bit taken back by who was out there talking to her husband! Remember people that they are infringing upon you, your private time and you do not need to be nice, tell them to get lost!

I the union is so great why is it that when the Rocky Mountain Steel Mill in Pueblo went on strike it was after a majority of members who VOTED approved the contract? NOT the majority of members eligible. Conversely to get the union in Colorado it only took a majority of Votes recieved but not a majority of employees eligible to vote!!!! Also, if unions are so great why is it that when a strike does occur the only ones who don't miss a paycheck are the UNION BOSSES????

Three other Colorado Employees that I know that never joined the union also got their membership and magazine in the mail.

I would like to know how they got my personal home address. It would be one thing to have something like that delivered to work but the fact that our HR is giving out our personal private information is what really makes me angry.

How do we resolve this? Is the state selling the employee list with our home addresses to anyone else? We should be able to opt out of having our private information given to any organization without our approval. What state Senators or representatives can we contact?
