WINS held their 3rd Labor and Employment “Budget” informational meeting at the unemployment office this week.
Last week, after the last meeting, I sent an email, via ColoradoLoses, to Glenda Barry, the HR manager, and complained about the “solicitation for membership” at the “informational meeting.” WELL…We were heard.
Glenda Barry apologized to us that the last meeting had “got off track” and at this most recent meeting…WINS was not permitted to mention the concept of “organizing” to the crowd.
They were a bit upset. They told Ron Minks, the building manager, “that ColoradoLoses guy complained about our meeting last week.” Ron told them, “Yes he did, and he was right!” End of conversation!
You, too, can put a stop to Colorado WINS and their sneaky tactics of using “informational meetings” as membership seminars. Don’t be afraid to SPEAK BOLDLY!

Thanks for your effors and I am so glad that others, like the building manager is a believer in no-union also. All my friends in Wisconsin, a mandatory union dues paying place for state employees are all getting more furlough than we are! They are guaranteed 16 days of furloughs over the next 2 years, and the union picks some of those dates! We may end up with that many furlough days, but don’t have them yet. I don’t need to pay $1000 / year in mandatory union dues like we did when we worked there.
